Postdoctoral Research Scientist
Dr. Vincenzo Obiso has a background in Theoretical Physics. During his Ph.D. he worked on aerosol-radiation interaction modeling, with a focus on sensitivity analyses of aerosol optical to microphysical properties. As post-doc researcher, he implemented an aerosol-radiation coupling mechanism within a fully integrated meteorology-chemistry model and carried out research on the optical parameterization for dust minerals. Recently he joined the CCSR at Columbia University and started the implementation of mineralogy-based dust radiative effects within the NASA GISS global climate model (ModelE).
