Our closest and most important partner is the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS). From our founding until May 2025, we were co-located with GISS at 2880 Broadway in New York, NY, and we continue this rewarding and pivotal partnership. We also maintain special collaborations with the AIMES Initiative, our Columbia University colleagues at the Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics APAM, and the New York City Panel on Climate Change.
We have contributed to the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN), a global consortium that connects researchers, city decision-makers, and stakeholders to advance urban climate science and facilitate knowledge sharing. UCCRN has published the Assessment Report on Climate Change in Cities (ARC3). Learn more at https://uccrn.ei.columbia.edu/.
Our researchers helped establish the Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast (CCRUN), part of NOAA's Regional Integrated Sciences & Assessments Program, which conducts stakeholder-driven research on climate vulnerability across six Northeastern states. CCRUN is now coordinated by Radley Horton at Columbia's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Learn more at www.ccrun.org.
