Christopher E. Lawrence

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Chris Lawrence is currently a postdoctoral research scientist at the Center for Climate Systems Research (CCSR) at Columbia University. His current research focuses on the impact of atmospheric aqueous chemistry on the iron cycle (an important micronutrient for oceanic microorganisms). His broader interests include the atmosphere's role in the nutrient and organic carbon cycles under changing emissions and climate change, particularly within clouds and precipitation.

Chris received his PhD at the University of Albany in 2024, studying the changing chemical composition of cloud water and precipitation in the Northeast U.S.
