Henrique Haas

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Henrique is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Center for Climate Systems Research (CCSR) within the Columbia Climate School. His research tackles the challenges posed by climate change to agriculture, hydrologic dynamics, and water quality in the New York City watershed. Henrique utilizes advanced hydrologic modeling tools, including SWAT and SWAT+, in conjunction with remote sensing data and comprehensive Earth System science databases.

Before joining CCSR in 2024, Henrique earned a Master's degree in Natural Resources in 2020 and a Ph.D. in Earth System Science in 2024, both from Auburn University. His research interests encompass model-data integration, hydrologic and water quality modeling at multiple scales, trend analysis of hydrologic and biophysical variables, and the impacts of land-use and cover change on water quantity and quality.
